Gain of Function
Gain of Function is used in the political arena to justify microbiology research for making viruses and bioweapons. However, gain-of -function is something that wouldn’t happen in nature these days, according to thousands of doctors, microbiologists and zoologists. Therefore, its a moot argument. There is no reason to continue keeping these microbiology labs funded for bioweaponary for gain-of-function.
Humans have evolved over a period of 6 million years, with other animal species. Zoonosis and species to species cross transmission is uncommon these days, and for that reason, we already have a well evolved and well adapted natural immune system. Moreover, since an animal virus, rarely naturally pass to humans in modern day, the major human infectious diseases that we do have, including some now confined to humans and absent from animals, are ‘new’ ones that arose only after the origins and industrialization of agricultural farming, and lab originated viruses for vaccine production and animal experimentation. It requires, a great deal of time, financial resources, virus entrainment, biotechnology research experiments and petri dish cell experiments, bacteria cultures, gene mutation, and animal experimentation to make this happen. Examples are xmrvs, (human gammaretroviruses), mouse and monkey viruses from laboratories. This process takes many years of research and millions of dollars in funding such research, with no natural evolution being involved, it is only the human hand cultivating such experiments in microbiology laboratories, which should be deemed as dangerous and classed as governments investing in biological weapons manufacturing.
Nature published an article on this stating ”Although almost all coronaviruses isolated from bats have not been able to bind to the key human receptor, SHC014 is not the first that can do so. In 2013, researchers reported this ability for the first time in a different coronavirus isolated from the same bat population2.” This proves as stated that the bat virus had to be entrained over decades before to be entrained to adapt to human cells and bind to key human receptors.
The Virology laboratory in Wuhan received research grants of 3.7 million funding from the United States NIH. According to Newsweek funding for the WIV occurred in two phases. The first took place from 2014 to 2019, through a $3.7 million project for collecting and studying bat corona viruses. This work was largely led by Dr. Zhengli Shi, known to many as “batwoman” for her years investigating caves in search of new bat viruses. Dr Fauci was at that time involved in the NIH, and these funds were invested into gain-of-function entraining the bat COVID-19 cells to grow chimera cells in mice to then transfer and evolve or adapt to (gain-of-function ) human tissue in petri dish entrainment experiments in a laboratory environment.
The Wuhan Institute of Virology undertook coronavirus experiments on mammals captured more than 1,000 miles away in Yunnan which were funded by a 3.7 million grant from the US government. Sequencing of the COVID-19 genome has traced it back to bats found in Yunnan caves but it was first thought to have transferred to humans at an animal market in Wuhan. The revelation that the Wuhan Institute was experimenting on bats from the area already known to be the source of COVID-19 – and doing so with American money – has sparked further fears that the lab, and not the market, is the original outbreak source.
The second phase began shortly after, with another $3.7 million. Unlike the first, this project appears to have included work on “gain-of-function”: research that investigates how a virus can gain the ability to infect a new type of animal, for example, Homo sapiens, us!
”The latest study was already under way before the US moratorium began, and the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) allowed it to proceed while it was under review by the agency”, said Ralph Baric, an infectious-disease researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a co-author of the study.” -The NIH eventually concluded that the work was not so risky as to fall under the moratorium.”- Nature, -Engineered bat virus stirs debate over risky research.
SARS, H1N1 and Swine flu are also products of Gain-to-Function research that are part of COVID-19 genome, SARS 1.0 backbone, and contains MERs which is evidence of the mechanisms of gain of entry.
”It is possible that the insertion of a furin cleavage site allowed a bat CoV to gain the ability to infect humans. The furin cleavage site might have been acquired by recombination with another virus possessing that site, H5N1 : HA glycoprotein via Furin, including SCH004 Bat to Human entry” – Dr Wong, A Recipe for Next Generation Warfare
Gain-to-function research in microbiology is highly controversial since the risks it carries outweigh any benefits in research goals, it needs to be banned.
It is debatable species to species transmission is not very common but human interference for gain-to function research is making it more common, some say MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV were originally bat viruses that spread to an intermediate animal (camel and civet cat).
Government funding and human involvement in growing these laboratory zoonotic chimeras is what makes gain-to-function more dangerous since the risk becomes much higher when the research is to entrain viruses to adapt to human cell receptors in order then to pass them on to humans. This is when it becomes manufactured biological warfare, which we are currently suffering the consequences of, with the leverage it has given politicians and giant pharmaceutical drug manufacturers, and those at the seat of power to impose severe lockdowns of our lives and of the economy and roll out experimental vaccines that also carry unsafe ingredients.
We need a focused global campaign to stop this type of government funding of gain to function research on laboratory experiments to make animal viruses adapt to human cells. The funding trail on the bat corona virus gain to function research, according to Newsweek also contradicts Fauci’s recent statements under Oath, see the video with Senator Paul and Dr Fauci below.
The New Evidence
New Documents taken from DARPA are enough hard evidence to Subpoena Dr Fauci et al as he continues to try and cover up the trail of lies.
”A report states that EcoHealth Alliance approached DARPA in March 2018, seeking funding to conduct gain of function research of bat borne coronaviruses. The proposal, named Project Defuse, was rejected by DARPA over safety concerns and the notion that it violates the basis gain of function research moratorium.”
The reasons it was refused –
”The DEFUSE proposed project by EHA was rejected by DARPA, although “if funding became
available”, certain components of particular interest could have gone ahead, subject to a clear
contractual Dual Use Research of Concern (DURC) risk mitigation plan that ‘includes a
responsible communications plan.
The Biological Technologies Office of DARPA reviewed the EcoHealth Alliance DEFUSE
proposal and the Evaluation Reports and decided it was “selectable”. In doing so, two out of
three reviewers considered the aim of preempting “zoonotic spillover through reduction of viral
shedding in the bat caves” as of interest to DARPA. These reviewers assessed the EHA and
Collaborators team and concluded that:
- They have plenty of prior experience.
- They have access to Yunnan caves where bats are infected with SARSr viruses.
- They have carried out past surveillance work
- They have developed geo-based risk maps of zoonotic hotspots
- Their proposed experimental work is logical and can validate molecular and evolutionary
- Their proposed preemption approaches can rapidly be validated using bat and
“batenized” mouse models.
- The proposal is considered to potentially involve GoF/DURC research because they
propose to synthesize spike glycoproteins which bind to human cell receptors and insert
them into SARSr-CoV backbones to assess whether they can cause SARS-like disease.
- However the proposal does not mention or assess potential risks of Gain of Function
- Nor does the proposal mention or assess Dual Use Research of Concern (DURC)
issues, and thus fails to present a DURC risk mitigation plan.
- The proposal hardly addresses or discusses ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI).
- The proposal fails to discuss problems with the proposed vaccine delivery systems
caused by the known issues of variability in vaccine dosage.
- The proposal did not provide sufficient information about how EHA would use any data
obtained and how they would model development or perform any necessary statistical
- The proposal did not explain clearly how EHA will take advantage of their previous work,
nor how that previous work could be extended.
- The proposal failed to clearly assess how it would deploy and validate the “TA2
preemption methods” in the wild. This refers to carrying out experiments with effective
immune boosting molecules and delivery techniques via FEA aerosolization mechanism
at one test and. two control bat cave sites in Yunnan, China (PARC, EHA, WIV).
- The proposal does not address concerns about these vaccines not being able to protect
against the wide variety of coronaviruses in bat caves which are constantly evolving, due to insufficient epitope coverage.
The decision to reject the funding proposal in 2018 was based on the following conclusions-
It is clear that the proposed DEFUSE project led by Peter Daszak could have put local
communities at risk by failing to consider the following issues:
- Gain of Function
- Dual Use Research of Concern
- Vaccine epitope coverage
- Regulatory requirements
- ELSI (ethical, legal, and social issues)
- Data Usage
Despite the refusal based on Gain-to-Function violations and the risks involved to communities, according to the documents, NIH and NAIAD, under the direction of Dr. Fauci, ignored these risks and went ahead with the research in Wuhan, China and at several sites across the U.S.
”Dr. Fauci has repeatedly maintained, under oath, that the NIH and NAIAD have not been involved in gain of function research with the EcoHealth Alliance program. But according to the documents obtained by Project Veritas which outline why EcoHealth Alliance’s proposal was rejected, DARPA certainly classified the research as gain of function”.
